Statement of purpose, Spis De Rike
Spis De Rike (SDR = Eat The Rich) is a collective of media activists seeking to contribute to the fight to replace capitalism with a truly democratic society, placing people before profit.

We support and participate in the struggle against capitalism and its results: imperialist warfare, environmental destruction, racism, sexism, and homophobia. We seek to expose the causes of societys injustice, oppression, and poverty.
We see ourselves as part of the growing, global anti-capitalist movement. Our goal is to help spread the information that the corporate media normally doesnt prioritize, and indeed often censors. The corporate medias near total monopoly on the distribution of information in our society means that we are all continually bombarded with subjective views disguised as objective journalism- in other words: propaganda.
SDR doesnt pretend to be objective- we openly side with the oppressed against the oppressor. We seek to spread "counter-propaganda, to tell the other side of the story.
Through the production and screening of our films we also hope to strengthen the anti-capitalist movement in general. We are open to cooperation with other organizations, and seek to bring together different communities, fostering communication and counteracting sectarianism.
In addition to the screening of our own documentaries and thought-provoking fictional work, we also feel a responsibility to expose our audiences to other non-commercial short film and art (providing these are in line with our general aims).
Everyone that shares our purpose and supports our goals is invited to join us or start their own local "SDR"-branch.
